After years of gaming and interest in the Mythos, there are many games and projects out there of which I’ve become a fan. I’ve even been fortunate to help out a couple of times or otherwise offer some form of support.
PROPPING UP THE MYTHOS
Christian Matzke is working to create an 800 page faithful imagining of John Dee’s English translation of the Necronomicon, with woodcuts and diagrams throughout. His work is superb, and he is the creator of the Elder Sign design I am using in my project. Check out this Patreon to see how you can help support Christian and get your own Necronomicon.
Benjamin Schäfer has created a modern Call of Cthulhu scenario titled Too Close Too Home and was kind enough to credit me for a few suggestions I made. The story revolves around the discovery of a dead body – one that is seemingly impervious to both flame and scalpel. Benjamin does wonderful job presenting the scenario with a clean but thematic layout, and the story can easily serve as a jumping off point to all manner of modern horrors – or be adapted to other time periods.
