Quickstart: Awakenings

Description

You wake up to a hissing sound and the sudden feel of warm air across your cold skin. The air tastes faintly metallic. You slowly open your eyes to discover you are lying in a stasis pod.

As you experience brief flashes of jumbled memories, the pod suddenly shifts and raises you into a standing position. You barely have enough time to gain your balance before another hiss of air signal the front of the pod swinging open. Emerging dressed only in a white shirt and shorts, you survey your surroundings. The room is small, containing only the pod and some monitoring equipment. A large metal door inset with a viewing window lies in front of you.

A short scenario including all the rules needed to play Proteus – a great way to introduce new players to the setting.

Also includes rules for creating characters during the course of play. No need to use pregenerated characters or spend time creating characters before you play – jump straight into the game and create your character as you go!
